With the aim - We develop world-class competence for a sustainable future and a good life, the Nature Management Administration drives education within youth high school, adapted high school, adult education, and vocational college. The Nature Schools Svenljunga, Sötåsen, Uddetorp, and the Biological Vocational College function as competence centers for the growth and development of the green industries. Together with the business community and researchers, the administration drives energy projects and experimental activities at the forefront of the schools. The Nature Management Administration is part of the Västra Götaland Region.

We offer our high school students the opportunity to live in a boarding school.

Many have long distances to travel, and the boarding school becomes a prerequisite for studying in a location other than their hometown. The overarching goal of the operation is to support students towards achieving their goals in school and to ensure that students feel safe and have a meaningful leisure time.

Description

On the outskirts of Skara, nestled in greenery and surrounded by rolling fields, lies Naturbruksskolan Uddetorp. Here we conduct conventional agriculture with the help of a solid fleet of machinery and the latest technology for sustainable crop production. The school has 200 hectares of arable land, 16 hectares of natural pasture, and 60 hectares of its own forest. The farm also has 65 dairy cows, 60 young cattle, and 8 ewes with lambs. At Uddetorp, we offer a focus on agriculture. The school is growing and is popular to apply to. We have 184 high school students and nearly 300 adult learners on the premises.

Responsibilities

In the boarding school's work team, we work with residential support and leisure activities as a team for the benefit of all boarding students. The mission is to create a pleasant and good living environment that promotes the student's school results.

As an employee at our boarding school, you have an important adult role and the ability to easily create social relationships with young people. You are a role model for the students and should create a sense of security that benefits the students' development.

To succeed in the mission, you must be willing to maintain good contacts with guardians as it is an important part of our work. It is in agreement with the guardians that we can create a living environment with tolerance and respect for each other.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is an educated teacher, leisure leader, or has other education/experience that the employer finds equivalent. It is an advantage if you have experience working with young people with neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF). As a person, you are creative, curious, and have the ability to create good social relationships. You have a good ability to structure, document, and follow up on your tasks.

You should have a good ability to handle difficult situations while being able to provide a professional response and maintain a strong belief in people's ability to change and develop.

A B driver's license for manual transmission is required, as well as basic IT skills.

Conditions

Temporary employment with 100% working hours during the academic year 25/26, starting in early August. Varying working hours, mostly evenings, nights, and mornings.
